Passing a challenge is the hard part. Getting paid should be the easy part, but many first payouts are delayed for a simple reason: the trader starts identity verification only when the payout is due. Understanding the know-your-customer process in advance, and completing it early, removes one of the most common sources of avoidable waiting.
Why Prop Firms Verify Identity
Identity verification helps confirm that the person receiving a payout is the person who completed the challenge. It supports anti-fraud controls, prevents duplicate or shared accounts, helps enforce restrictions on prohibited jurisdictions and sanctions, and protects honest traders from people who try to abuse the programme.
What Nordfunded Asks For
Verification typically includes your legal name, date of birth, country, images of an identity document and a selfie, together with the verification outcome. Nordfunded may also request residence, tax or payout details where reasonably required to administer the programme. Data is handled according to the published Privacy Policy.
When Should You Complete KYC?
Complete it as soon as you start trading seriously toward a funded account, not on the day your payout is scheduled. Verification can require a retake if a photo is blurry or a document has expired, and those retries take time. Finishing early means your first payout depends on your trading, not on paperwork.
Tips for a Smooth Verification
Use a valid, unexpired government-issued document. Photograph it in good light with all four corners visible and no glare. Make sure the name on your account matches the name on your document exactly. Take the selfie in a well-lit room without hats or sunglasses. Small details like these prevent most rejections.
Your Payout Wallet Matters Too
Payouts are sent to a crypto wallet you add in the dashboard, such as USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20, Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin. Double-check the address and the network. A payment sent to the wrong network can be difficult or impossible to recover, and that risk sits outside anyone's control once a transaction is broadcast.
What KYC Does Not Mean
Verification does not mean Nordfunded is a bank, broker or investment platform, and it does not guarantee a payout. Payouts depend on eligible simulated performance and compliance with the rules and the Funded Trader Agreement. KYC is simply one of the conditions that must be met before money can be released.
Checklist Before Your First Payout
Identity verification approved, payout wallet saved and double-checked, Funded Trader Agreement signed, payout date selected, and your recent trades reviewed for any rule concerns. With those five items complete, the payout process can move as quickly as possible.
